Skylar | Libertyville Boudoir Photographer

Skylar is a young twenty something year old woman who is getting married soon! She initially booked her session because she wanted to create a photo album of herself to gift to her future spouse on their wedding night.  An avid collector of pin-up posters and vintage porn magazines, she knew this was right up her fiancé's alley. If he loves those images, certainly he would love it even more if it was her.  I loved getting to work with Skylar and am so excited for her to have these images.  Needless to say, I think he will love these images when he gets them.  For now, it's a surprise!

When I work with clients, I often like to ask them some questions about their session. Truly, I feel like it helps new potential clients to feel a little more comfortable with the boudoir experience.

So, here's a little bit right from Skylar herself!

Going into the shoot were you worried or scared about anything?

"I felt confident going in because the "getting ready" info was very detailed, and I had been planning this out for months. There are always some nerves that come up with a new person seeing you vulnerable/nude, but that quickly went away once hair and makeup began."

Why do you recommend doing a shoot with Sarah?

"I would recommend doing a shoot with Sarah because she is incredibly professional while also being warm and comforting. I'd almost say the experience was better than experiences I've had with non-boudoir photographers because Sarah was very thorough with her explanations and demonstrations of poses"

What was your favorite part of your session?

"I'm not sure I can choose one aspect to say as my favorite part, but I did appreciate the discussion before we started shooting. Sarah and I looked at my outfits together and went over the album cover options and playing cards. It was very nice to have time to discuss and know what to expect. "

Have you noticed any changes in yourself since your session?

"After the shoot, and especially after receiving my album, I felt so confident and fell even more in love with myself. I'm even more interested in doing future shoots because of the great experience I had with Sarah!"
